Explorer Post 911 is the premier experience and orientation program for young people considering a career in criminal justice. The mission of the Post is to offer young adults, ages 12-21, a behind the scenes look at the criminal justice field through training, practical exercises, and community activities.
BELOW IS A LIST OF OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN:
The following is a list of the minimum requirements to join and remain in the Explorer Program:
• Live within St. Johns County.
• Be at least 12 years of age and may stay until their 21st birthday.
• Enrolled in a school: public, private, or home school, or have a high school diploma or G.E.D If a high school diploma or G.E.D is obtained, the member must be enrolled in continuing education (police academy, college/university, or trade school).
• Candidates, Cadets and Explorers must maintain a “C” (2.0) grade point average.
• Chain of Command (Corporals, Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captain) must maintain a “B” (3.0) grade point average.
• No criminal history.
• Willing to participate in community service projects.
• High moral standards and conduct within the community.
• Pay an annual due of $120.00
